Hello from Beijing China! Our flight over was uneventfull and smooth just the way I like it. We left from CA and flew just under 12 hours. We took some great pictures of mountains and snow covered glaciers over Alaska and Russia. In addition to the other 2 families in our group there was another family on our flight going over to adopt. They have 4 kids for now with 5 coming Monday. Included in the 4 are 1 from China and twins from Korea as well as 1 biological. They were a blast, all wearing shirts listing them as thing 1, thing 2, thing 3 and thing 4. i think my favorite was Thing 3. We had a blast following eaach other around the plane. We will all meet up again in Guangzhou on the 16th. We rode the chartered bus 30 minutes to our hotel and got checked in. We then went shopping at a local grocery store and finished off the evening at a nice Chinese Resterant for dinner. Tomorrow we will tour some of the old neighborhoods and then go to an acrobat show at night. Thanks for all the prayers and support. We are off to bed now. It is 9PM over here which is 8 AM for the guys back in the States and we have been up for 26 hours. I will post more tomorrow as time permits. |
You're supposed to sleep on the flight to get adjusted, or was it not a night flight. Ours worked out very well. We slept and quickly got our sleeping turned around for while we were in China. I'm really happy to hear your flight went smoothly. Can't wait to hear more.
