Local Market

The Hutong has local markets for people to buy everything from clothes to food to medicines. They are called day markets because most people go there everyday and purchase only what they need for that 1 day. Most have very small refrigerators or none at all. They also value freshness for the meat and vegetables and fruit so they only buy what they need for that day. I was impressed by how large and fragrant the fruit and vegetables were. Everything looked and smelled so good. I bought Joy a Tea Pot that was made locally and is very beautiful. Here are some pictures of the market.
