GZ - Day 4 Red Couch, Pool and Dinner Cruise

Sorry for missing the post from yesterday. We went on a Dinner Boat Cruise up the Pearl River and it was late by the time we got back to the hotel. I will try to catch you up now.

We started out the day at the buffet as usual, and then met to take the famous Red Couch Pictures. The White Swan hotel is famous for adoption families and they have several red couches on the 2nd floor. It has become a tradition for families to get the pictures of the group, kids and each family on the Red Couch. Today was our turn at the couch and then a group photo in front of the indoor waterfall.

After the pictures we went back to the room to change and then on to the pool. It was in the mid 80's outside, unfortunately the pool is in the mid 70's. The kids could only be in the pool about 45 minutes and then their lips started turning blue. We walked along the river for a while and then went to Lucy's for a late lunch.

At 6 PM, we met with another family and went to the dock to board the Dinner Cruise boat for a tour of the river. The river is very nice and is beautiful at night. Many of the buildings have multicolored light shows and the boats are all decorated, The cruise lasted about an hour and half and then back to the hotel by bus.

For Wednesday, it is more shopping in the morning and then to the Consulate for the swearing in ceremony at 2:30. I will send pictures of that momentous occasion in the next post.
