Forbidden City

After the Square we headed in to the Forbidden City. It was HUGE! There are many courts and gates. Every time we thought we were at the end and went through a gate, there was another courtyard and many new structures to explore. Joy said, "the shear beauty and exquisite architecture are breathtaking. At first site, I just stood in awe of the skill and time clearly spent by the craftsmen who constructed the City." It is not just a city, but it is a work of art. The entire complex looks Royal and the scale of everything reminds us of how small we are. The people there were kind and curious. They were very friendly and had great manors and courtesy even for such a large crowd. I would recommend that anybody who has the opportunity to go and see it for themselves. The pictures and descriptions can not possibly do justice to the scale and beauty that it contains". I wish we had more than a half day to explore the City. One could easily spend a week there and still not see all that there is to take in. Here are a few of the pictures that we took. Coy
